Anyone can
edit the wiki. Anyone can contribute, change, and add. Most websites you go to are static — you only read them. This is a very different place.
What we are aiming for is a place to record anything that would be a blessing to Christian families homeschooling in and around Salem, Oregon. This is an experiment in community and a project that can be fruitful for years to come to both old and new homeschool families.
Everyone these days has their own personal blog. They write down everyday activities, things they do, places they go. But how about channeling some of that effort into helping other Christian homeschool families? Imagine this as sort of a "blog" for Salem area Christian homeschool families. A place for sharing, listening, learning, growing and exploring.
Begin by telling about upcoming events you know about. Then share about some of the resources you've found helpful. Tell about the support group you're a part of or are thinking about starting. Create a page for your home business or the business you work for that would appreciate homeschool family support. Create a family page. Write a review of different curriculum you've used. Have your kids write reviews of books they've read or favorite movies. Things you'd like buy, sell, give away. The topics and room for exploration is endless.
What the wiki contains and means is up to you. As a general rule you should contribute content you think will be helpful or insightful to others, but even this rule can be broken at times. Never be afraid to try something new, to edit something, to make your voice heard.
This is our place, our resource, our voice.
